

Installation Technician
We are looking for experienced installation technicians to install equipment for our customers. Duties may include traveling to customers' homes or place of business, installing energy efficient equipment, troubleshooting problems with existing equipment during installation, testing connections, providing user instructions to customers, and cleaning up after the job is complete.
To ensure success as an installation technician, you should have sound electrical and mechanical knowledge, be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces for an extended period, have exceptional communication skills and a passion for customer service. About the Role
Responsibilities

Traveling to customers' homes or place of business.

Installing electrical or mCHP equipment and/or Solar, HVAC, Energy Storage or any other of our market disruptive products.

Suggesting areas where equipment should be set up and where cords should be placed.

Tracking and receiving of equipment, coordinating transport/shipping with Project Management.

Troubleshooting problems with existing equipment and communicating issues to concerned parties as needed.

Testing old and new installation connections.

Providing customers with verbal and written operating instructions for new equipment.

Cleaning up after the job is complete.

Recording and maintaining stock levels.

Sourcing accessories for a successful install as required and providing expertise

Maintaining work vehicles utilized for field work.

Participate in interconnect discussions as needed and/or weekly Project Status calls
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or certification in electronics, information technology, HVAC, electricity or similar or equivalent experience.

Proven work experience as an installation technician.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to climb ladders.

Ability to crouch, kneel and work in confined areas for extended periods.

Ability to lift heavy objects.
-
Advanced knowledge of modern electrical equipment.

Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, and repair equipment on site.

Valid Drivers License
